Mission Statement

Mission Statement
To provide quality mental health care via evidenced-based modalities in order to help families, individuals, children and older adults nationwide.

Vision Statement
To make mental health services immediately available to underserved populations nationwide

At The Florida Mental Health Coalition we believe a healthy state of mind builds the foundation for a healthy life. Our goal is to provide quality, compassionate, and thorough mental health care to the ever growing underserved populations country-wide and this includes the senior population in America. To that end, our Non-Profit organization delivers essential mental health services to thousands of patients of Assisted Living Facilities, Nursing Homes, Veterans, Group Homes, and Independent Living Facilities. Additionally, we serve one of the neediest and most vulnerable populations; children in the foster care system and their families. Last but not least, we are also busy helping medical staff of all disciplines, first responders, preschools, and families in need while actively supporting those on the front lines via provision of supplies, technology, and of course, Mental Health Services.

Research shows that mental illness affects about one in four Americans in any given year. Over 90% of completed suicides (a top ten cause of death) had a diagnosable mental illness at time of death. Our resolve is further strengthened by the stigma surrounding mental health and the fact that over two thirds of those living with mental illness don’t seek treatment. Supporting The Florida Mental Health Coalition is a clear way to help address and treat mental illness.

There is no greater pre-cursor to an increase in mental health decompensation than a threatening major life event resulting in trauma. Our Foundation supports the delivery of evidence based trauma informed services to victims of sexual abuse; domestic violence; neglect; abandonment; substance abuse exposure; and natural disasters. We work closely and rigorously in the healing process of every patient as they transition from survivor mode back to healthy living mode.
